L'Aplec dels Ports is a demonstrative, cultural, and festive event in which eight towns in the region participate. Each year, one of them takes on the responsibility of organizing the event, scheduling various activities to assert the culture, language, and identity of its people, as well as to demand better treatment from the authorities, highlighting the issues faced by these small rural communities: depopulation, deficient roads, limited healthcare centers, lack of resources for rural schools, etc.

Its origins date back to 1978 when some young people from the region convened a meeting in Todolella to address the problems they were facing, assert their rights, and promote a sense of belonging to a region, a common history, dignifying being individuals born in a rural environment with a shared language, culture, and traditions.

Year after year, these meetings continued, gradually incorporating the dances of each town and other elements of the rich heritage of the region, along with musical performances to give the event a festive character. Thus, after almost forty years of history, L'Aplec dels Ports continues to maintain the assertive spirit with which it was born, simultaneously achieving recognition as a true musical festival with unique nuances. The organization involves the selfless participation of all residents of the host town, from the youngest to the elderly.

Thanks to its significant and long trajectory, as well as its democratic values and contribution to the defense of the Valencian language and culture, this regional event was awarded the Vicent Ventura 2015 prize from the University of Valencia and the Huguet Prize for Valencian of the Year 2016.

Countryside film showcase featuring movies that, in one way or another, centrally focus on the diverse ways of perceiving rural surroundings and living within them. The program includes films depicting situations that can occur in our villages, showcasing the reflections of the authors regarding rural life and offering different perspectives to enrich the cultural and social life of the region.

The aim is to promote audiovisual literacy by selecting feature films, short films, documentaries, and animated films, and whenever possible, presenting them in their original version.

Regional puppet theater festival held in different towns of the Els Ports region, united by art, complicity, and entertainment, in an event that has never had an equivalent reference in the province of Castellón. Portsxinel·la was born with the intention of bringing culture to one of the farthest regions from the coast, programming various shows throughout the two weekends that make up the Easter holidays.

The Capella de Ministrers is the organizing entity, providing excellent academic dimension to the event.
