MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN
The Els Ports region is all about nature. A region traversed by valleys and filled with magical forests. Rivers are the arteries that connect the entire territory and come to life in spring and autumn, offering stunning vistas. From east to west, from Tinença de Benifassa to Vilafranca, you'll find numerous villages at elevations of over a thousand meters, surrounded by towering mountains and green areas that offer endless opportunities to enjoy nature.
UNIQUE LANDSCAPES
The nature of Els Ports is at its best in spring, with dominant shades of green painting fairy-tale landscapes, and in autumn when the ochre and brown colors tint the forests, turning them into a genuine spectacle. In fact, during this season, the forests become a meeting place, thanks to the mushroom explosion and the mild climate, which is ideal for hiking trails.
IMPRESSIVE BIODIVERSITY
This region boasts extraordinary biodiversity. Beech forests, pine forests, woods with oaks, elms, walnut trees, almond trees, poplars, junipers, numerous shrubs, or aromatic herbs like lavender, thyme, or rosemary make up an impressive variety to enjoy in the mountains. As for the fauna, the Iberian ibex and the griffon vulture dominate the land and the skies of the region. It's a land of wild boars, squirrels, hedgehogs, badgers, foxes, hawks, eagles, owls, and partridges.

La Tinença de Benifassà és una de les millors reserves de biodiversitat del país. El paisatge d'aquest lloc és molt accidentat, format per diverses serralades que van des dels 400 fins als 1300 metres. La Tinença és un paradís per als amants de la natura, el turisme actiu i el senderisme, on poden gaudir de paisatges impressionants i una gran varietat de fauna i flora. El Portell de l'Infern, el Salt de Robert, la Tenalla, el Tossal dels Tres Reis, les cascades naturals, el riu Senia o el Pantà d'Ulldecona són només alguns dels llocs que mereixen una visita. Al cor d'aquest parc natural es troben pobles com La Pobla de Benifassà, Ballestar, Coratxà, Fredes i el Boixar, petits i pintorescos, que ofereixen als visitants un marc únic per a la tranquil·litat, la calma i el turisme rural. Aquestes localitats, juntament amb Castell de Cabres i Bel, són les 7 que es troben en aquest parc natural.

Embassament d'Ulldecona: En les seues aigües pots gaudir d'un bon bany o navegar amb caiacs i patins, gaudint de la vegetació exuberant i de la muntanya.

WALKING TRAILS
MORELLA SINGLETRACKS, Morella
The Morella Singletracks project offers mountain biking (BTT) routes for lovers of all-mountain and authentic enduro biking. The wide range of options available allows for routes lasting several hours and journeys spanning multiple days, providing a better understanding of the towns in the Els Ports region, its cultural and artistic heritage, and scenic beauty.
The Morella Singletracks project highlights the ancient paths of the Els Ports region after their restoration. Therefore, the routes proposed by Morella Singletracks are developed along trails.
MORELLA
Operation: On its website, www.morellasingletracks.com, you can download GPS tracks since the routes are not marked. Access to these tracks is free.
BTT CENTER, Morella
The Els Ports BTT Center is located in Morella and has points of interest distributed throughout various towns in the region. In total, it offers 37 different routes, with over 1000 kilometers of trails to enjoy. These routes are marked and signposted.
Currently, efforts are underway to improve these routes, as the route tracking system has deficiencies, and maintenance has not been the most suitable. The main issue is the lack of markers or damages on the different routes, so if you choose this option, you need to complete the routes with the help of GPS.

SALTAPINS IS A SPACE DESTINED FOR LEISURE AND ADVENTURE
Leisure space to enjoy, where users can undergo various challenges in the forest of the Fábrica Giner complex in Morella. Tibetan bridges, zip lines, some of them over 100 meters long, tunnels, or wooden platforms await you to have a very fun time in this park. The platforms' height ranges from 2 to 17 meters and always ensures maximum safety.
In Saltapins, there are different circuits: green, blue, and red, adapted to the characteristics of all audiences. These are adventure circuits where you have to complete a series of challenges requiring skill, balance, confidence, endurance, strength, and more. This makes it an entertaining leisure activity for children, young people, and adults.
The Saltapins multi-adventure park is located in an area of great scenic charm. Fábrica Giner is a tourist complex with various green areas, a swimming pool, rural houses, a hostel, and playgrounds—a perfect place for family leisure.
LIVE NATURE IN A SPECIAL WAY IN ELS PORTS
In the surroundings of Fábrica Giner, you can enjoy nature on horseback. Various routes start from here, allowing you to enjoy the landscape of the area and an ideal activity for family tourism, with a partner or with friends.

SWIMMING POOLS
In Els Ports, different types of swimming pools coexist depending on the municipality. There are heated pools in Ares del Maestrat, Morella and Vilafranca, allowing use throughout the year. In Morella, there is also an indoor pool integrated within the municipal sports complex. In addition, many towns have seasonal outdoor pools, located in Ares del Maestrat, Cinctorres, Forcall, Herbers, La Mata, Morella, Olocau del Rei, Palanques, La Pobla de Benifassà, Portell, Sorita, Todolella, Vallibona and Villores, providing a highly valued service during the summer months.
JAUME I LEISURE AND SPORTS CENTER
Located in Morella, the Jaume I Leisure and Sports Centre is a municipal sports complex featuring a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, multi-purpose sports court and a spa area with jacuzzi. It is one of the most complete sports facilities in the region, ideal both for training and relaxation.
PADEL AND
MINI GOLF
Padel can be practised in Cinctorres, Morella, Olocau del Rei, Portell, Todolella and Vilafranca, as part of each town’s municipal sports areas. Tennis is available in Forcall and La Mata, as well as within the Fàbrica Giner complex in Morella, expanding the range of facilities for tennis enthusiasts. In Todolella, visitors can also enjoy a mini golf facility, designed for family leisure and outdoor activities.
FÁBRICA GINER
The Fàbrica Giner complex in Morella brings together one of the largest sports offerings in the area. This space includes three tennis courts, a multi-purpose sports court, a football pitch and a swimming pool, as well as running tracks and access to the Saltapins adventure park.
FRONTON COURTS
Fronton courts are among the most widespread sports facilities in Els Ports and can be found in Ares del Maestrat, Castell de Cabres, Castellfort, Cinctorres, Forcall, Herbers, La Mata, Morella, Olocau del Rei, Portell, Sorita, Todolella, Vallibona, Vilafranca and Villores, keeping alive the practice of traditional sports deeply rooted in the territory.
FOOTBALL FIELDS AND PITCHES
Football fields are located in Morella, Vilafranca, Forcall and Cinctorres, where youth teams from Renomar Els Ports FC, Morella CF, Vilafranca CF and Club Esportiu Cinctorres train and compete. In addition, several municipalities have open-access football pitches intended for non-federated sport and youth leisure
GYM AND CALISTHENICS
Several municipalities in the region have municipal gyms, including Ares del Maestrat, Castellfort, Cinctorres, Forcall, La Mata, Todolella and Vilafranca, enabling regular training for both local residents and visitors. There are also outdoor calisthenics areas in Ares del Maestrat and Cinctorres, designed for physical exercise in close contact with the natural surroundings.

Els Ports has municipal multi-purpose sports complexes in towns such as Ares del Maestrat, Cinctorres, Forcall, Morella, Palanques and Vilafranca. The region also offers other distinctive facilities that complement the sports offering, such as the motor racing circuit and the park for senior citizens in Forcall, the mini golf course in Todolella, the pump track in Olocau del Rei, and various running tracks distributed across the territory, catering to a wide range of audiences and needs.
