Els Ports is nature. A region crossed by valleys and occupied by magic forests. Our rivers are arteries that connect all the territory, sprouting in spring and in autumn offering pictures of magnificient beauty. From east to west, from La Tinença de Benifassà to Villafranca, we find many towns located above a thousand meters, surrounded by high mountains and green areas which offer endless possibilities to enjoy nature.

The nature of Els Ports reaches its peak moment in the spring, with the predominant green colour drawing landscapes worthy of being part of a fairy tale, and in the autumn, when the ocher and brown stain woods and become a real spectacle. Precisely at this time, the forests become a meeting place, thanks to the explosion of mushrooms and the mild climate, ideal for hiking.

FLORA AND WILDLIFE

This region enjoys an extraordinary biodiversity. Beech, pine forests with oak, elm, walnut, almond trees, poplars, junipers, numerous shrubs or herbs, such as lavender, thyme and rosemary, create an impressive variety ready to be enjoyed in our mountains. In terms of wildlife, the Spanish goat and the vulture dominate the earth and sky of the region. Land of boars, squirrels, hedgehogs, badgers, foxes, hawks, eagles, owls and partridges.
